Time sure does fly when Kuwala turns 2!

Time sure does fly when Kuwala turns 2!

We can't believe it's already been 2 years since we launched Kuwala back in January 2014. Year One was about learning and growing. In Year Two we focused on growing and strengthening our connections with other businesses and the community. Here are some memorable highlights from 2015:

Attending the Fashion Africa Conference

Last April, co-founder Veronica travelled to the UK for the Fashion Africa Conference. It was a full day of discussing the future of ethical African fashion and networking with industry stakeholders. We're looking forward to #FAC2016!

Unveiling the Style Ambassador program

Since launching, we've been working alongside bloggers and writers that are just as interested in promoting the African fashion industry. Through our Style Ambassadors, we hope to expand our network and get more people talking about the industry. Look out for the spring re-launch!

Mingling and dancing with African fashion lovers

From Afrofest to Habari Africa festival and Cocktail Crawls to the Everyday, this past year we popped-up at a few amazing events. We met many new friends, as well as loyal customers who have been following us since day 1. We photographed street styles of festival-goers, danced to the eclectic music and chatted with supporters. Subscribe to find out where we'll be next!

Networking with new designers in Ghana

This past September, Veronica was in Accra for a beautiful wedding and took the opportunity to reach out to local designers. In a short period of time, she met with 14 exciting fashion brands. Stay tuned for some unique new arrivals!

Launching the Style Bazaar

We have been wanting to start our very own African-inspired pop-up shop since Year 1 and we finally did it! Taking place triannually, we are looking forward to partnering with other African-inspired businesses through the Style Bazaar.

We are always in the process of improving the way reach our customers and how we promote the African fashion industry. We can't wait for you to see what we have in store for you. From the media that features us to the customers that shop from us, we appreciate all your support!

Cheers to Year 3 and many more!
