What does the headwrap mean to you?
To me, a headwrap is a unique form of tress-expression. It's chic, it's stylish, it's fun, bold and a little mysterious. To me, a headwrap can also capture the authenticity, essence, pride of a culture.
Are there any turbanistas that you're inspired by and why?
I'm inspired by Designer Korto Momolu. Her designs in clothing, jewelry and headware incorporate intricate patterns, prints and designs from her homeland (Liberia) with a modern twist. I also LOVE Solange Knowles individual style. She unapologetically HER, wears her clothing and wraps skipping to her own beat. And last but "certainly" not least, Ms. Erykah Badu. One of the BEST EVER to rock a headwrap. PERIOD.
How would you describe your wrapping style?
I describe my wrapping style as BoHo Chic. Quick, easy, breezy, usually some type of pattern and chic.
